Dancers compete in the Asian Dance Tour Taipei Open (2014/02/28)
The World Dance Council’s Asian Dance Tour Taipei Open took place at Taipei Arena today. The event paired some of the top dancers and judges in the world. Participants were eager to share their passion for dance.
Top ballroom dancers from many different countries were on hand for the Asian Dance Tour Taipei Open, including the president of Arthur Murray Dance Studios, John Kimmins. Kimmins is a former world champion and now works to cultivate new dancers and to provide event organizers with support.

The Italian Augusto Schiavo is the first non-British contestant in the history of the Blackpool Dance Open to win in the professional category.

I have been seeing the development in Taiwan of couples. I think they have a lot of potential. Taiwanese dancers (lack) the expression of musicality. Their technical ability is very high and I can see a very bright future if they can express music a little better.
With many of the world’s top dancers visiting Taiwan, some acted as judges and others took the opportunity to instruct local dance instructors. They hope to share their experiences to promote the domestic dance scene.

WCD職業國標舞世界大賽亞巡台北站，今天在台北小巨蛋登場，比賽除了全球卓越選手齊聚，評審水準也很頂級，包括擁有國標舞教父之稱的金敏斯，以及義大利舞神施奇亞佛，這回都來到台灣，不但擔任評審，兩個人更在知名的國際連鎖舞蹈教室，分享教學經驗。
來自美國的評審代表，同時擔任國際知名舞蹈教室Arthur Murray總裁的John Kimmins，不但曾經是世界冠軍，多年來更積極培養後進，甚至提供舞者和賽事主辦單位經濟上的協助。

至於義大利的評審代表Augusto Schiavo，曾經是史上首位英國黑池世界公開賽中，奪得職業摩登冠軍的非英國人，更有義大利舞神的稱號。

世界頂級的國標舞大師，這回造訪寶島，不但擔任評審，也利用機會，指導台灣的老師們舞技，分享教學經驗，對國內國標舞運動的提升與推廣，助益良多。
