Looking ahead to the Taiwan International Boat Show (2014/04/30)

The Taiwan International Boat Show will debut at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center next week. On display will be luxury yachts and Taiwan’s first private marina.

The Kaohsiung Exhibition Center officially opened in mid-April, and one of the first exhibitions will be the Taiwan International Boat Show on May 8. Organizers say that luxury yachts with a total value of more than NT$7 billion will be on display.

There will be more than 60 luxury yachts displayed indoors and outdoors.

Taking a look at these yachts costing upwards of NT$10 million and more, we can see that they come with a kitchen, social area and private KTV. Even if a yacht doesn’t frequently go out to sea, there are still expenses to be paid in the form of dockage fees.

The annual output value of our yacht industry is about NT$5 billion. Besides working with the boat show, the future establishment of this marina will lead this industry to achieve an annual economic value of NT$10 billion.

Kaohsiung’s yacht industry will build upon its first-class shipbuilding technology to bring more business opportunities to the city.

遊艇展出海

高雄國際遊艇展，即將在五月八號登場，這次共有六十艘高級遊艇展出，總價值超過七十億。而展出地點高雄展覽館旁，也有國內首座私人遊艇碼頭，高雄海洋局預估，這次的展覽，將為高雄帶來無限商機。

這個月才正式啟用的高雄展覽館，五月八號起將舉辦國際遊艇展，屆時將有總價值超過70億的各式遊艇參展。

會有超過六十艘以上的遊艇，在室內室外展出。

看看這些造價上千萬的遊艇，裡頭除了有廚房外，交誼廳都有，甚至還有私人KTV。遊艇平常如果不出海，就會停靠在碼頭邊，業者再以船隻大小來收費。

這個是台灣目前第一座私人的遊艇碼頭，我們也希望可以把它構建成一個非常專業的，非常適合我們遊艇停放的遊艇專業碼頭。

我們的遊艇產業一年目前的產值是50億，配合這次遊艇展之外，包括未來我們的遊艇專區設立成立之後，一年會有超過100億的經濟產值。

高雄的遊艇產業，除了造船技術一流之外，現在又加入私人碼頭，市府評估，這次的遊艇展，將替高雄帶來無限商機。
