蘭嶼交通
天秤颱風重創蘭嶼，讓這裡對外的交通一度中斷，在積極搶通後，島上的開元港目前已經恢復通行，而台東飛往蘭嶼的飛機，從下午一點開始，也開始正常起降，不過因為島上唯一的加油站幾乎全毀，居民的用油成了大問題。
天秤颱風過後，第一班從台東載滿乘客的飛機,在下午1點鐘，順利抵達蘭嶼。原本被颱風大浪衝上來的土石，蓋滿的機場跑道，現在通通被清乾淨。
空運雖然提前搶通，但卻難以應付要往來台東和蘭嶼的民眾，讓機位一票難求。

除了空運，這次受颱風重創的蘭嶼開元港，現在也通通被搬移清除，運送物資的海巡船，已經能夠順利入港。
災後第三天，海空交通紛紛復原，但島上唯一的加油站，因風災全毀，無法使用。

少了汽油，謀生的漁船，根本無法使用，生計大受影響，除了物資援助，蘭嶼現在更需要的是，災後的重建。
One of the most important tasks on Orchid Island is to restore transportation links. The airport and Kaiyuan Harbor are open, but the island still lacks a gas station.
After Typhoon Tembin passed, the first flight from Taitung to Orchid Island arrived Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock. The mud and rocks that had covered the runway were already cleared.
Air services are well underway, though passenger planes flying in and out of Orchid Island are fully booked.

It’s hard to get a plane ticket. Only standby is available.
The typhoon also damaged Kaiyuan Harbor. It was cleared, which has allowed the Coast Guard to begin shipping in relief supplies.
Flights and ships can move freely, but travel on the island is still difficult because of what the typhoon did to the only gas station.

It’s destroyed. There’s nowhere to get gas.
Without fuel, fishermen have no way to go out to sea. Besides relief supplies, Orchid Island desperately needs rebuilding.
