In my country, Thailand, our most important festival is Songkran. It's our New Year festival. It always happens in April, and it's always a lot of fun. Everyone knows about this festival because you can throw water on other people! This brings good luck for the next year. You can buy delicious food on the street, like papaya or chicken with special sauce.

Many people go back to their hometowns during Songkran. They want to spend time with their families. On the first day, they clean their houses. On the secondday, they play games with water. On the third day, they visit the temple and wash the Buddha statues. They use water with flowers in it, so the statues smell nice and fresh. Songkran is everyone's favorite time of the year.

在我的祖國泰國，我們最重視的節慶就是潑水節。潑水節等同我們的新年，時間都在四月，十分熱鬧有趣。此慶典眾所皆知，因為可以任意向他人潑水！而其目的則在於為明年帶來好運。此外，你還能在路邊攤買到美味的食物，例如佐以特殊醬料的木瓜或雞肉。

很多人會在潑水節返鄉與家人團聚。節慶第一天，會進行居家大掃除；第二天開始潑水慶典；第三天則會前往廟宇朝拜並清洗佛像，清洗用的水有浸泡過花朵，佛像因而散發出清香。潑水節算是我一年中最喜歡的節日。
