Chen Prepares for Season Start
Taiwan’s Chen Wei-yin is preparing for his first start of the season for the Baltimore Orioles. The outing will likely be Friday, April 4 against the defending MLB champs, the Boston Red Sox. Today in Chen’s bullpen session, the Orioles deliberately reduced his number of pitches to prepare him for next week’s start. The Orioles also recently departed their Florida spring training base and returned to Baltimore to prepare for the start of the season.

Wang in Relief
Although he will start the season in Triple-A, Wang Chien-ming remained in the Cincinnati Reds spring training compound on Thursday. He pitched the eighth against the Arizona Diamondbacks after Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Tony Cingrani left after seven innings. Wang would immediately give up a line drive single, though he got the next batter to hit into a double play. The following batter also ground out, getting him out of the inning.

Rockets Pummel 76ers
Jeremy Lin and the Houston Rockets defeated the 76ers by a score of 120 to 98. The loss handed the 76ers their 26th consecutive defeat, tying the NBA's longest losing streak. James Harden scored a team-high 26 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Meanwhile Jeremy Lin continued to be productive off the bench, scoring 13 points and contributing seven assists.
