Taiwanese pitcher Wang Chien-ming is currently toiling in the minor leagues hoping for another shot at a major league roster. But he is still getting endorsements. A whiskey company that featured Wang in an ad six years ago has called on him again.
Right-hander Wang Chien-ming has never been the same since his back-to-back 19 win seasons with the New York Yankees in 2006 and 2007. His image as somebody who never quits has endured, however, and embodies the spirit a whiskey brand wants to convey.

The biggest frustration is getting injured. Players will inevitably get hurt in action, but you have to learn something from the injury and then get back in shape and get back on the field.
Though Wang has struggled in the minors this year with a 2-3 record and a 4.67 ERA after five games for the Louisville Bats, he still has star power in Taiwan. The whiskey company continues to back him as does a computer company that has used him as a spokesman since 2005.
