Religious authorities prevent shamans from performing rituals to find missing airliner (2014/03/13)

As the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines jet continues, more strange news is emerging. The latest is that religious authorities are stationing officers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport to prevent shamans from performing rituals. The shamans were reportedly invited by a government leader to help locate the airliner. 

The departure terminal at Kuala Lumpur International Airport has two large walls covered with a white canvas sign. Visitors can sign their names and write prayers for missing passengers who were on Flight MH370. Others have placed their own signs and prayers to the side of these walls. These Malaysians are saddened by this recent spell of events as they have three friends who were aboard this flight.

With the plane going missing for nearly a week, rumors are circulating. The Malaysian government even reportedly invited shamans to perform a ritual to help locate the plane. This action upset the Selangor Islamic Religious Department, which vowed to send 24 monitors to the scene.

This Islamic group is opposed to using supernatural powers to help locate the missing aircraft. Meanwhile, family members of passengers on the missing plane have been staying in four hotels arranged by Malaysian Airlines as they await news in the search and rescue activity.

伊斯蘭組織官員，堅決反對用超自然力量尋找飛機下落，但心急如焚的乘客家屬，早就住進馬航安排的四間旅館，等待最新進展。
