蘇建和宣判
蘇建和案，今天上午再更三審宣判無罪，高等法院認定兇手只有王文孝一人，無法證明蘇建和三人犯案，依照速審法，本案不得再上訴，纏訟21年就此定讞，蘇建和當場擁抱辯護律師表達感激，反知受害人家屬，則是大聲喊冤。
終於無罪定讞，蘇建和、劉秉郎、莊林勳三人現身時，臉上卻沒有太多欣喜。

1991年，王文孝犯下汐止吳銘漢夫婦命案，1992年遭槍決前咬出弟弟王文忠把風，並與蘇建和三人共同犯案，不過王文忠隨後表示哥哥及自己遭到刑求，從此三人進入漫長司法判決。其間歷經5次死刑、2次無罪，高等法院終於以認定只有一把兇刀、一名兇手為由，宣判三人無罪。

“本案未查獲血衣，水果刀或開山刀等物，以佐證王文孝證詞的真實性，警方也沒有查獲現場留下被告等人的血衣指紋，或是毛髮等生物上的跡證，都無由使得本院形成被告等人，確實有參與犯罪之心證”
面對這樣的結果，死者吳銘漢的家屬，痛心至極。

無論還有多少爭議，由於速審法規定，訴訟超過六年，並歷經最高法院三次以上發回的案件，不得再上訴，還是讓纏訟21年的蘇建和案，就此畫下句點。
Taiwan’s most infamous murder case has finally come to an end. In the final verdict, the three men known as the Hsichih trio were found not guilty on Friday following 21 years on and off death row and in and out of prison. The court felt there was no proof that the men were involved in a grisly murder that took place in Taipei County in 1991.
After two decades in courts and prison, Su Chien-ho, Liu Bin-lang and Chuang Lin-hsun showed little joy when they received a binding innocent verdict.

I truly want to thank each person. The road has been tragic, but I believe not a single person is willing to accept injustice, nor do I believe that a single judge is willing to make an improper judgment.
In 1991 Wu Min-han and his wife Yeh Ying-lan were killed, and the following year Wang Wen-hsiao was executed for the crime. But first Wang named his brother and others as accomplices, allegedly under torture, and Wang’s brother implicated the Hsichih trio. The brother also claimed to have been tortured. From there the trio was subjected to years of trials and imprisonment. The men were sentenced to death five times, twice exonerated. Now the High Court has finally found them innocent after determining there was only one knife and one killer.

We never found bloody clothes, the fruit knife or the machete. When trying to corroborate testimony from witness Wang Wen-hsiao, the police never found bloody clothes or fingerprints of the defendants at the scene. They also never found hair or other biological traces. There was simply not evidence to convince the court that the defendants committed this crime.
The brother of one of the victims is unable to accept the new verdict.

This verdict is an example of human rights defiling the legal system and justice. Human rights killed the legal system and justice.
Despite the controversy, the Speedy Trial Act prevents appeals in cases more than six years old that have been remanded three or more times by the Supreme Court. It appears that after 21 years, the Hsichih trio is finally no longer in limbo.
