Activists, politicians prepare for anti-nuclear protests on Saturday (2014/03/07)
Tomorrow afternoon anti-nuclear protests will take place throughout Taiwan. On the eve of this civil action, Taipei mayoral candidate Ko Wen-je called on all politicians participating in year-end elections to state their position on the controversial Fourth Nuclear Power Plant.
Anti-nuclear groups compiled a short video from anti-nuclear demonstrations over the past year to implore citizens to come out for Saturday’s protest.
Environmental groups, the arts community and even a group of mothers are calling upon politicians to take a public stand on this issue.

On Saturday, a series of mass parades will take place around Taiwan in the afternoon. In the evening, anti-nuclear speeches and music will take place on Ketagalan Boulevard.
