Baltimore’s Chen Wei-yin gets first win of spring (2014/03/10)
The Baltimore Orioles Chen Wei-yin was among a handful of Taiwanese pitchers who saw action on Sunday in Major League Baseball spring training. He recorded his first win of spring.
From the beginning against the Pittsburgh Pirates it was clear that Chen Wei-yin came to play. Shaking off his first game struggles, Chen used a double play and a strikeout to get out of the first inning after giving up his only hit of the day.
Twenty-nine of the 41 pitches Chen threw over three innings were strikes. He didn’t surrender any runs and was credited with the win. His fastest pitch reached 93 miles per hour.

I was initially worried about my pitch speed because of the surgery, but after throwing it doesn’t seem to have dropped much. The operation made my feet and knees feel great, and pitching feels really good.
The Orioles got 16 hits on the day, including two home runs, on the way to a 9-2 win.
In other action, playing against one another today were the Cleveland Indians C. C. Lee and the Milwaukee Brewers Wang Wei-chung. Both entered in the fifth inning, with Lee pitching a scoreless inning and recording two strikeouts, and Wang giving up three hits over two innings. Wang also surrendered an unearned run. The Indians won 4-2.

效力金鶯隊的我國投手陳偉殷，今天在熱身賽第二度先發，在主場迎戰海盜隊，陳偉殷用了41球主投三局，只被敲出一支安打沒有失分拿下勝投，最快球速飆到93英哩，賽後陳偉殷接受訪問時表示，他今天都可以把球投到想要的位置，膝蓋傷勢已經完全無礙，感覺相當好。
迎戰海盜軍，陳偉殷一掃上一場挨轟低潮，這回僅在第一局被敲一支安打，緊接著就用雙殺，三振解決打者。
主投三局僅用精簡的41球，其中29個好球，0失分奪下勝投，不但控球狀況好，球速最快也飆到93英哩。

“球速這邊一開始也蠻擔心的，因為可能手術之後，可能會覺得多少會掉一些，可是投一投感覺其實也沒有說掉特別多，所以我覺得手術後，腳膝蓋的感覺非常舒服，然後投起來的感覺也很好”
金鷹全場敲出16支安打，包括兩發全壘打，最後9:2大勝海盜。
至於效力於印地安人隊的李振昌與釀酒人隊的王維中，今天在兩隊的比賽第五局中上場較勁。李振昌主投一局無失分，還飆出兩次三振；王維中投兩局，被打出三支安打，失掉一分非自責分，印地安人終場以4:2擊敗釀酒人。
