Green sea turtles bring eco-tourists to Pingtung’s Siaoliouciou (2014/04/28)
In recent years Pingtung’s Siaoliouciou has promoted conservation efforts to protect endangered green sea turtles. Some 300 of these turtles are thought to live in the area, contributing to a surge in eco-tourists.
Green sea turtles can be seen in the sea around Siaoliouciou. In recent years, marine conservation efforts have led these turtles to make this area their home.
On the beach, this camera captures Siaoliouciou’s green sea turtles laying their precious eggs.

Because they are a protected species, we will not kill them. There’s lots of vegetation for them to eat, so these green sea turtles like to stay here.
According to Pingtung’s Liouciou Township Office, green sea turtles inhabiting the Siaoliouciou coast can be seen 365 days a year. These creatures have become the focus of eco-tourism in the area.
琉球綠蠵龜
除了澎湖，近幾年，屏東小琉球也開始推廣起綠蠵龜保育行動，目前至少有300頭綠蠵龜，在此定居，也意外成為小琉球熱門賣點，吸引不少觀光客，特地來趟綠蠵龜深度探索之旅！

列入保育類不會捕殺牠，這裡的食草又很豐富，所以綠蠵龜都會一直待在這個地方。
屏東琉球鄉公所表示，綠蠵龜棲息在小琉球沿岸，一年365天都有都看得到，綠蠵龜將來是小琉球生態旅遊重點。
