Adults and children delight in Paper Windmill performance (2014/04/28)

An ongoing tour that will bring the Paper Windmill Theater Troupe to more than 7,000 villages across the nation was in Hsinchu on Sunday. Hundreds of spectators came out to see a fascinating performance arts show.

Five drummers playing in unison and moving to the sound creates an astonishing scene.

Spectators gaze at the impressive traditional battle array performance. A close look shows another special feature of this show: the stage is on top of a remodeled truck.

We built not only the most dazzling but also the only arts truck in Taiwan so we could bring these joyful performances far and wide.

The tour is a collaboration between 11 performance groups, including Paper Windmill Theater Troupe, Chio Tian Folk Drums and Arts Troupe and Ju Percussion Group. The mobile stage will travel to more than 7,000 villages to give free performances.

I think these groups share a common objective for going into the countryside to perform: to give more children a chance to appreciate performance arts.

An added benefit of performing in the countryside will be to plant artistic seeds for the future.

九天卡車秀

紙風車劇團打造出行動舞台卡車，下鄉表演，週日晚上來到新竹，展開藝術饗宴的首場表演。由九天民俗技藝團演出傳統廟會文化。

5個身材壯碩的男子打赤膊，賣力的打著鼓，鼓聲配合舞蹈動作，氣勢驚人。

還有台灣的傳統陣頭表演，讓台下的大人小孩看得目不轉睛。但仔細一看，這可不是一般舞台，而是一輛特別打造的藝術卡車。

紙風車劇團與九天、朱宗慶打擊樂團等11個表演團體合作，要將這台藝術卡車開進全台7千多個村落，免費演出。
